What it needs, and what it does not.

What VibeField Studio needs on Windows and the Debian family, what CUDA adds, and where the limits are.

Apply for Founder Beta

CPU

A current 64-bit x86 processor. The CPU backend is always present — it is the reference the CUDA path is tested against, not a downgrade.

CUDA (optional)

An NVIDIA GPU with a current driver. The CUDA build bundles the CUDA runtime, so no toolkit installation is needed. Without a suitable GPU the same build runs on the CPU.

Windows

Windows 10 or 11, 64-bit. Audio runs through WASAPI; ASIO is not part of the current build.

Debian family

Debian 12 and Ubuntu 24.04 or newer, 64-bit, installed as a .deb. Qt comes from the distribution; audio and MIDI run through ALSA, with PipeWire and PulseAudio supported.

Known limits

  • No macOS build.
  • No audio input recording; MIDI recording is available.
  • No MPE.
  • The live launcher is not finished and is not part of the offer.
  • 128 refers to logical layer slots. Real polyphony depends on the patch, the backend and your hardware.
